The Big Mix Up
Artist Bio
Mitchbal, who is a recipient of the prestigious International American Song Festival Award, commented, “With the state of the world today, our country, and our neighborhoods, I truly believe this CD’s message is more relevant today, perhaps more than at anytime.” The former Vietnam veteran continued, “My mission is to spread the message of this philosophy today! ‘Everything You’re After, Love is the Answer, Selfishness is the Loser, Understanding is the Winner’.” Mitchbal does not take this message lightly, he lives by it, and as seen the downside when he strayed from its meaning.
The concept for the CD and its message came to Mitchbal in the form of an epiphany, more than twenty five years ago. Mitchbal believes that the “Love is the Answer” (LITA) message will get people to think about their situations in life, and to react unselfishly, and with “Love & Understanding”
Mitchbal started MCE back in 1982; eventually joining forces with his son, and renowned music producer, Vince Lawrence. Together, with the collaboration of Jesse Saunders and others, they created Z-Factor which churned out the hits “(I Like To Do It In) Fast Cars,” “Thorns,” and “Fantasy.” These tracks planted the seed for the House and Garage music era. Since that time MCE have released many notable classic house tracks including: “The House is on Fire,” “Shake Your Body,” “I Like It,” “Fantasy,” and “Can You Feel It,” to name a few.
